For the topic of Content Management System (CMS), I learnt to create a blog using WordPress platform. Initially, I was having difficulties in managing the blog as there are too many functions and tools to explore such as site pages, blog posts and widgets. I was also confused on how to create pages, link pages in the posts and customize the sidebars. Fortunately, with the assistance from my classmate and guidance from my lecturer, I am able to overcome those difficulties, hence grasp a brief understanding on the basic knowledge and skills in managing a blog as well as relevant content that could be shared in the posts of the blog. As a person from a non-ICT background, CMS also allows me who do not understand programming languages to easily create and manage my own web content.

In addition, this topic also exposed me that a blog should not only be a platform for the sharing solely on personal life but also a CMS which is useful for others in the context of me as an English teacher. Altun et al. (2008) discussed that in educational contexts, there is a huge amount of data traveling among teachers and students and these data may be comprised of worksheets, handouts, homework, reports as well as recent evaluation techniques used by teachers like rubrics, portfolio assessments, self-evaluation and peer-evaluation means more and more data is traveling. Thus, CMS may organize student work in a proper way by keeping high volume of data and presenting information based on the user needs.
Therefore, in the future, I am planning to continue using my CMS as a platform to share knowledge and expertise on the English language pedagogy such as lesson plans, worksheets and online resources hence, it could benefit other teachers and educators in creating an engaging teaching and learning process. I could also improve and enhance the content of my CMS based on the response received from the visitors hence, ensuring that my CMS could be significantly helpful for both students and teachers in an e-learning environment.
